Letters from PWP Trainer:

Hi Melissa,

Isaiah is progressing very well. He is learning to hold objects for an extended period of time and then carrying them from one end of a room to another. It's only a matter of time before he is placed with a recipient. Ilyssa has become quite the diva. Everything is done on her terms and that is just fine by me. I love having her around and she is still the sweetest thing ever.

Thank you so much for all of the devotion that you have put into raising such wonderful dogs. You and your family have been a true blessing to Paws With Purpose.

Blessings,
Jennifer

Hi Melissa,

I just wanted to write to you and give you a quick up date on my girl Ilyssa.  Its hard to believe that Ilyssa will be 7 months old in just a few days.  It seems like only yesterday that Amanda and myself made the whirlwind trip to pick up Ilyssa and Isaiah.  There are not enough words to describe how absolutely wonderful Ilyssa has been to the PWP family.  She is such a sweet and loving dog with the gentlest soul.  Her brown eyes melt my heart everyday and in just a few months I have become extremely attached.  She has been my constant companion at work and enjoys her furry play pals at home too.  I am going to have a very tough time letting go of her when her time comes to be placed with a recipient.

Thank you so very much for you generosity and willingness to help see that our  Paws With Purpose organization has outstanding puppies.  It has been a true blessing to train Ilyssa.  I look forward to seeing all of the great things that God has in store for this little girl!

Blessings,

Jennifer Taylor

Hi there:

I just thought I'd let you know all your puppies are doing great. Belle is the best dog I have ever had. She is so good at obedience and a very fast learner. And, what a cuddler. Bonnie is also a sweetheart. She is also coming along great in her training. Betsy is doing well also but I don't see her as often. Isaac and Illysia are the cutest little pups. I have heard they have many of the same qualities as Belle. Isaac is quite a little talker.

Belle was selected to be the poster girl for our invitations for the annual "Puttin' On The Dog" which is a dinner/auction to support Paws with Purpose. I am attaching some of the pictures that was taken of her and a Lab of the same age named Corry.

Thanks for all these adorable pups.

Hey there:

It appears that Belle has been selected for a recipient of Paws with Purpose.  She is only 13 months old and is doing great.

She had her medical checkup this week and the hip x-rays were great.  They came back with all 8’s and 9’s out of a possible 9.  They are sent to a specialist here in Louisville for the rating.

She has not finished all of her training but she is doing well and the recipient she has been chosen for has had a service dog for over 15 years and trained her dog from a pup.  So, she is quite a trainer herself and wants to participate in Belle’s advanced training.  Amy has finished her Partnership Program training (this is the training that all recipients of our dogs must complete in order to get a service dog from PWP) and upon approval of the board on Thursday night, Amy and Belle will be participating in the graduation ceremony on the 30th of June.  After that date, they will continue working with me and the instructors of PWP until Belle is ready to go.  Belle will continue to live with me until she is ready. (PWP has not had a circumstance like this one where a dog is placed with a recipient before her training is finished.  That is why I am waiting on final approval from the board.)

I have attached a picture of the graduating class and one of Amy and Belle.

Graduation is June 30th.  I know it is a long way to come but if you wanted to come to graduation, it would be a great honor to have you.  I will continue to keep you updated on her progress.

It will be very difficult to give Belle up as she is a wonderful dog.  As you know, I have been so pleased with her from the beginning.  She is so sweet.  If you ever need any recommendations, I would be very happy to give you one.
